Childhood passes more quickly than we ever imagine. One day they’re asking endless questions about the world. Before long they’re navigating friendships, discovering who they are, carrying worries they don’t always know how to explain, and trying to find where they belong. These years quietly shape the adults they’ll one day become.
As parents, grandparents, guardians, aunties, uncles, and the people who love them most, we all hope for the same things. We hope they’ll become kind, wise, and resilient young people. We hope they’ll make good choices, treat others with compassion, have the courage to be themselves, and know that no matter what life brings, God is always with them.
But growing up today isn’t easy. Even the happiest children can feel worried, uncertain, or overwhelmed. They need a place where they can slow down, breathe, and simply be themselves.
That’s why I created this journal. Designed for children aged 10 to 14, this 12-week guided journal gives them a quiet place to reflect, pray, dream, ask questions, and discover more about themselves and God. Through thoughtful journal prompts, Scripture, honest prayers, gentle reflections, and simple daily actions, they’ll build confidence, develop resilience, strengthen their faith, and discover the incredible person God created them to be.
More than anything, this journal gently reminds children that their worth isn’t found in grades, popularity, achievements, or what other people think of them. Their worth is found in the God who created them, knows them completely, and loves them more than they could ever imagine.
My prayer is that this becomes far more than a journal they simply complete over twelve weeks. I hope it becomes one of those books they never quite have the heart to throw away. A place that holds their prayers, dreams, questions, doodles, memories, and quiet conversations with God. A reminder of who they were, how much they grew, and how faithfully God walked beside them through every season.
Because one day they’ll outgrow their favourite games, their favourite books, and even this journal. But more than anything, I pray they never forget what they discover inside these pages: they are deeply loved, wonderfully created, and never alone.
